My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness

I related to Nagata Kabi's life in so many different ways. The struggle to be the perfect daughter in your parents' eyes while also trying to do what makes you happy is something I am still struggling with. Trying to discover your own sexuality in world that refuses to discuss even the act of sex is just as depressing. Kabi's style of drawing is hilarious and perfect.

One of my favorite stories about two women named Nana and their friendship. Both women are complete opposites that end up living together in Tokyo after they leave behind stationary lives in small towns. The story is just as much about them as individuals as about their love for each other as best friends.

As a POC (person of color), Phoebe Robinson puts a hilarious twist on subjects that are difficult to have conversations about, such as racism in media or being a female POC in today's society. This collection of essays is great if you still want to educate yourself about some big issues but also want to have a good laugh at the same time.
