Bookshops and Bonedust is a love letter to the book all wrapped up in a cozy fantasy setting. I fell in love with the dreamy coastal town of Murk, the hodgepodge of memorable characters, and with the joy of finding the right title at the right time. This book left me longing for books I've never read (and for all of Travis Baldree's future books)!

Worlds Worst Assistant

Sometimes being the world's worst assistant makes you your boss's best friend? Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it can land you a job talking for a living on his podcast. This book made me realize that the only thing funnier than the original sketches is the stories behind them.

After reading The Marriage Game series, I was far too excited for another title by Sarah Desi. And she did not disappoint. The protagonist, Simi Chopra, doesn't have a lot of things. Dating Dr Dil

Dating Dr. Dil was a fabulous escape. It had me laughing out loud, craving foods I've never heard of heard of, and relating a little too much to Kareena’s love of Taylor Swift and romance novels. I honestly can't tell you what I loved most about this novel (there are too many things). All I know is Nisha Sharma is a literary magician for fitting this much personality into the template of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.

The Assassination of Brangwain Spurge is a fantasy satire, with two unreliable narrators. It's labeled as middle grade, but it's a hilarious light novel for any reader. This book was easily my favorite book of 2018.
